It’s been a busy month . I fired my 1st kiln load of pots june 30th and unloaded July 3rd . I’ve spent the 2 weeks since sanding bottoms , wrapping cane handles , doing or adding miscellaneous things for each piece. Then the pricing /choosing and packing for the CRAFT FAIR OF THE SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS coming up next weekend. I set up Wednesday July 19 th and the Fair is 4 days . July 20-23. 10 am to 5 pm daily. Held in downtown Asheville, NC at the Harrahs Cherokee Center ( locals call it the Asheville Civic Center) on Haywood Street .
The photo is from a past set up at this Fair.
I will have new work and also my usual items plus I set up ornaments on the outside wall of my booth .
I’m working on the screens I use for ornaments today . I’ll take photos of each screen after I’m finished as I arrange the ornaments to fit the screen safely. I have some new designs in the ornament choices also . most of my ornaments are not based solely on Christmas time . Most are also my own designs and not cookie cutter but paper patterns I made and use to hand cut each ornament and it’s parts individually.
